Get ready to celebrate the beauty, biodiversity and brilliance of our internationally recognised Peel-Yalgorup Wetlands (Ramsar 482) at the much-loved Wonders of Our Wetlands Festival, returning on Saturday 11 October 2025.

The day begins with a vibrant community celebration at Coodanup Foreshore (near The Giant) from 8.30am to 12.30pm. There’ll be something for everyone—from interactive nature activities and local market stalls to live music, delicious food vendors and family-friendly entertainment. A festival favourite, the Dog’s Breakfast, is also back—so bring your furry companions along to join in the fun and sniff out some wetland wonders of their own.

But the festivities don’t stop there.

In the afternoon, the adventure continues with a guided estuary boat cruise departing from Mandjar Square, run in partnership with Mandurah Cruises. It’s a rare opportunity to explore the wetlands from the water—binoculars in hand—as we cruise through this spectacular landscape, spotting wildlife and soaking in the scenery. (Tickets are required for the cruise, so keep an eye out for booking details.)

Whether you’re a nature lover, local explorer, or just looking for a great day out with the family (and dog), this is a celebration not to be missed.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, 11 October, and join us as we connect with community, country and the incredible wetlands that make our region so special.
