Another Clean Up Month has come to a close, and once again, our incredible community clean up champions have stepped up to make a real difference! A huge thank you to the 221+ volunteers who rolled up their sleeves and took part — from bushland and coastal areas to schools and waterways.

Across the many clean up events held throughout March, volunteers collected over 111 bags of rubbish, removing an estimated 19,980 items and weighing in at a whopping 1,172 kilograms!

As always, Dudley Dolphin made his rounds, bringing smiles and encouragement to volunteers at many of the community clean-up sites. His cheerful presence has become a much-loved part of this annual tradition.

This initiative, led by the Mandurah Environment and Heritage Group (MEHG) and Friends of Rivers, in partnership with PHCC, continues to highlight the power of community spirit and collective action in protecting and caring for our beautiful environment.

While Clean Up Month may be over, the mission doesn’t stop here. Let’s keep the momentum going – picking up litter, reducing waste, and embracing sustainable practices every day. Together, we’re making a real difference

This project is supported by PHCC, a member of the Commonwealth Regional Delivery Partners panel funded by the Australian Government Natural Heritage Trust.
