Read about Harvey farmers Blythe Calnan and Greg Hooper’s real life journey into regenerative farming and their approach to transitioning into multi-species pasture biodiversity.  This case study is a candid insight into the challenges, concerns, successes and plans.

Runnymede is a former dairy property and the pasture had been depleted of nutrients and biology. In this case study, Blythe and Gregg explain their use of multi-species pastures to restore natural capital, improve soil health and help with water holding capacity in their pastures.

Blythe is PHCC’s current Soil Health Champion, amongst other prestigious awards and accolades in the livestock and farming industry. She has been a part of PHCC’s Greening Farms project, and a participant in our Soil Wise and Healthy Estuaries sustainable agriculture programs. In this case study you can watch a short 30 second video filmed at Runneymede farm during PHCC’s Multi-species Pasture field day last year, and listen to Blythe share some advice about multi-species planting.
