The Wetlands Centre Cockburn invites you to attend its 18th Annual Western Australian Wetlands Conference on the 2nd & 3rd of February 2022 at the state-of-the-art Cockburn Wetlands Precinct and to their brand new renovated and extended facility. This conference commemorates World Wetlands Day: the anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on Wetlands in the Iranian city of Ramsar on 2nd February 1971. This annual conference typically draws over 200 attendees from WA and surrounding states and territories from all streams of wetlands linked work and interests. There will be keynote addresses, expert presentations, sharing of case studies and research, plenary discussions, informal tours and plenty of networking opportunities.

The overarching conference theme follows the Ramsar theme for 2022 of ‘Wetlands Action for People and Nature’. The two day conference is divided into four half-days, set to feature the following themes – Leadership, Reconciliation, Sustainability and Partnerships.

Registrations are open until Tuesday 25th January 2022. For further details about the conference and to register, visit the conference website
