I am married with 4 children and currently live in Pinjarra in the Peel Region. I am passionate about community growth, enabling communities to grow share and develop each other.
I was elected to the Murray shire council in 2017. I have been actively involved in the mining sector for over 14 years in various roles, born in Pinjarra I have a great respect and understanding of the area and environment.
I completed a Diploma of Leadership and Management in 2017 and am currently working to obtain at Bachelor of Business.
In 2005 I joined the mining workforce on a 14 on 7 days off roster, from that point I have continued to build in 2010 I joined BHP Billiton Port Hedland in a Supervisor capacity, seeing a leadership gap within my local community I began working with the North Pinjarra community. In 2016 I accepted the President postion of the North Pinjarra Progress Association, committed to the people and enviroment I set about introducing changes with 3 key areas;
- People and Area perception
- Community lead events
- Asset utilisation
All these areas have improved to levels not seen in over 30 years, with an amendment to the local laws in 2017 allowing a local drone club protected access to the North Pinjarra facilities, ensuring growth for both groups.
