PHCC celebrated the Easter Holidays by launching the Easter Drawing Competition. The competition asked contestants to draw their favourite native animal that lives within the Peel-Harvey Catchment. Entries included drawings of a king skink, a kangaroo, a dolphin, and a pygmy perch.

The winners of the competition, eight-year old McKenzie Ellis won the children’s category for her colourful drawing of a numbat, an endangered species and also our State faunal emblem. The winner of the adult’s category goes to Bonnie Peterson for her drawing of a tawny frogmouth. Each winner was awarded a hamper from Mataya with lots of goodies. There were some beautiful entries, so thank you to all who participated.

We acknowledge the Noongar people as Traditional Custodians of this land and pay our respects to all Elders past and present
