Please join us for Dandjoo Gabi Wonga (meeting place of the waterways story), a community celebration of World Wetlands Day and the 50th Anniversary of the signing of the international Ramsar Convention on Wetlands. Our estuary and surrounding lakes are recognised as internationally important under the Convention due to their uniqueness, biological diversity and significance as overwintering grounds for migratory birds.

Celebrate World Wetlands Day 2021 in style with art, music, food and great company. Hear from and mingle with a fabulous range of people caring for and making a living from our wonderful wetlands.

2021 WA Wetlands Management Conference

Anyone interested in our catchment’s waterways is also welcome to attend the upcoming WA Wetlands Management Conference, which is to be held in Mandurah this year on 15th and 16th March. On Monday 15th March participants can join a cultural and science tour of the Lake Clifton Thrombolites and/ or a guided estuary boat tour and nature walk in Creery Wetlands. The conference day on Tuesday 16th February will feature talks and interactive workshops from scientists, community groups and government organisations working to understand and protect waterways.
