Community have until Monday (19 September) to comment on the proposed Limestone and Sand Quarry adjacent to Lake Pollard at North Preston Beach. The EPA are seeking public comment on the appropriate level of assessment for the proposal which, if approved will see a limestone and sand quarry, adjacent to the Yalgorup National Park and Lake Pollard. These are areas of environmental significance and value in our catchment and the PHCC have submitted that the proposal is API Category B “Environmentally Unacceptable”.
