Join special guests scientist Dr Nic Dunlop and artist Sue Kalab as they share their stories on the Fairy Terns and invite you to become part of the new story of Fairy Tern conservation in Mandurah.

Scientist Dr Nic Dunlop is a terrestrial and marine ecologist with special interests in seabird populations. Dr Dunlop will speak about the new conservation project, the Fairy Tern Sanctuary to be located at Mandurah Marina that will assist in researching, monitoring and protecting these special birds.  Sue Kalab is a watercolor artist, her work is inspired by nature. Explore the beauty and fragility of the Fairy Tern and what drives her to make a contribution to conservation through art.

During the session, participants will be invited to paint Fairy Tern decoys. The finished decoys will be placed in the Fairy Tern Sanctuary to attract the Terns to the site.  Join these champions of nature and become part of the new story of Fairy Tern conservation in Mandurah in an evening that is both educational and creative.  Download the flyer here
